Patron Holds
· Continue to place holds as usual
· Pick up and check out all holds at the Circulation Desk
Returns
· Continue to place returns in the book drop, located at the front entrance on Lafayette Avenue
· If you have returns with you, you may place them on the orange cart
Public Computer Use
· No more than 6 patrons at one time will be permitted at the public computers
· Available computers are restricted to #1, #3, #5, #7, #9, #11, #13 on the main floor
· Patrons MUST call the Reference Desk at 973-427-5745 x17 to reserve a computer before arriving at the Library
· Individual computer time is limited to:
o 2 hours for a BCCLS member
o 1 hours for a Guest
· All additional policies regarding public computer use remain in effect
General Occupancy
· Maximum is 25
· Entry and exit will be restricted to the automated side door, accessible from the lower parking lot, a.k.a. the handicapped entrance.
· Face covering required and temperature checks will be conducted
· Beginning on the hour, there will be unrestricted entry/exit from 00:00 to 00:50, up to the 25 patron limit
· From 00:50 to 00:00, movement will be restricted to exit only
o This time will be reserved for cleaning work spaces
o If there are patrons waiting to enter the building at this time, ALL patrons currently in the building will be required to leave.
· Exiting the building will be through the external door to Meeting Room B
o People counters will be reset to zero
o The process begins anew at the top of the hour
Restrooms
· Availability is limited to one sink, stall, and urinal as appropriate to the bathroom facility.
· Bathrooms are routinely cleaned after the Library closes
Safety Precautions
Requirements for Patrons
· A face covering that completely covers the mouth and nose.
· Masks, bandanas, and scarves are acceptable face coverings. Hands, shirts, or other clothing are not acceptable face coverings
· Maintain social distancing of a minimum of 6 feet from other patrons and staff
· No one under age 14 and/or entering any grade below 9th may enter the Library without a parent, guardian or other responsible adult who will supervise their behavior while in the Library
· Furniture in the Library may not be moved; no outside furniture is permitted to be brought into the library
Additional Safety Precautions
· Plexiglass shields at all public desks and any desk in a non “staff only” area
· Stations with hand sanitizer located through the Library, accessible to both staff and patrons
