We welcome volunteers to help with our various ongoing activities and fundraising efforts. We are currently looking for help in the following areas:
Friends of the Library - coordinate fundraisers and ongoing book sale in small meeting room. Meetings are held on the first Monday of every month, with the exception of July and August, at 7 p.m. in the library's small meeting room. All are welcome. Click here to download the Friends application.
Hawthorne Community Library Foundation - assist in capital improvement efforts. The HCLF continues to “answer the needs” per the mission statement and have funded the renovation of the service kitchen used by the many groups who hold meetings and events in the community rooms, replaced furniture and fixtures and, most recently, funded the upgrade to the library Website which you are enjoying as you read this. The Board of Directors meets six times annually at 7:00 PM on the last Monday of the month with the annual meeting held in mid-May.
