The Louis Bay 2nd Library provides current and historical cultural, entertainment, information, social, and technological services at the library.  The library contains areas for adults, children, and teens, as well as a comprehensive reference department.

 Materials offered at the library include fiction and non-fiction books, biographies, videos, dvds and cds.  The library has an extensive children's and parenting collection.  Large type books and audiobooks are also available. Many adult, children, and teen programs are offered at the Louis Bay 2nd Library on a regular basis. 

Some amenities offered to the public include Internet access, word processing , and photocopying. 

There are community meeting rooms and art and other exhibits on a rotating basis.

 The Louis Bay 2nd Library is a member of the Bergen County Cooperative Library System (BCCLS), Passaic County Library System (PALS) and Morris County Library System (MAIN).  These memberships allow cardholders of the Louis Bay 2nd Library to use not only this library, but to borrow materials from any libraries that belong to these systems.  Your library card also allows you to request books and periodicals from the online databases.

Library Card Information:

*Free to Hawthorne residents with a proof of residency
*Available to anyone 4 years of age or older

*Needed to check out or request items
(don't forget to bring it each time you visit the library!)

*Can be used at any BCCLS, PALS or MAIN member Libraries
*Can be replaced if lost for a fee of $3.00
